General rental and business conditions:
- Age requirement: For groups A-C,J,K credit cards holders minimum age 21, for cash renters age 23, for group D,G,L,S,I minimum age 23 years. NO OPEN CREDIT CARDS
- Driver’s licence: A valid driving licence held for at least one year is required. Minimum age 21 years.
- Minmum rental period: One week (7 days). Every hour in excess is calculated at 1/5 daily rate.
- Local taxes and fees included in the price.
- Traffic fines: Tickets and attached administrative sanctions resulting from any violation of the Greek Traffic Law during rental period are worn solely by the renter.
- Gasoline: Gasoline consumption is payable by the renter.
- Baby seat: Available on request.
- Availability: Car models are according to orginal planning. Delivery problems however, may compel us to supply another vehicle in exceptional cases.
- Delivery and collection: Handover and return at the airport included*.
- Handover and return: to the hotel / holiday home / apartment (Handover and return of the rental car is only possible on the north coast of the island of Corfu between the towns of Sidari and Kassiopi/Avlaki!) without additional costs. Please note return to the hotel / holiday home / apartment is only possible until 7:00 a.m., even if this means that the 24- Hour cycle is shorter. If you want to stay longer, our staff will explain to you when you hand over the vehicle where you can deposit the vehicle key on the day of return.
- Pick-up and drop-off at the hotel that is not on the north coast is not possible (in this case, select pick-up at the airport).
- Leaving the island of Corfu with a rental car is not allowed – no insurance cover!
- Full insurance no excess except hids of wheels and underneath of the car.
- The car must be back at the actual time of the contract.
- The car must be clean inside by your return as it has been delivered.
- Vehicles may not be used in rough terrain.
*Rental car from the airport 6:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m. at night. Rental car from hotel 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. For vehicle handovers at the airport between 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. and between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., a late surcharge of € 40.00 must be paid separately at the time of vehicle handover.
Booking:
With your online booking you send us a binding registration. The booking is only considered accepted by us if it has been confirmed by us in writing by post, fax or email with the booking confirmation / invoice (invoice / voucher). If the category you have selected is fully booked (in this case you will of course be informed as soon as possible), your booking will expire without any entitlement to the fulfillment of the contract.
Early delivery or late return:
Please note: If the vehicle is handed over between 10:00 p.m. and 00:00 midnight and between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., a late surcharge of EUR 40.00 will be charged in addition to the remaining payment when the vehicle is handed over. The remaining payment is to be paid on site when the vehicle is handed over.
Fuel options:
The return of the vehicle must be carried out with the tank filling with which it was handed over.
Notes on the insurance:
The insurance includes fully comprehensive insurance without excess. You are NOT allowed to leave the island of Corfu with the rental car, as there is NO insurance cover outside of the island of Corfu.
IMPORTANT! Any vehicle damage must be reported immediately by the vehicle renter to CORFUdrive rent a car in Agios Spiridon by phone or email, as an expert from the insurance company must be commissioned to assess the damage at the location of the damage. Corresponding contact details will be given to you with an information sheet when you hand over the vehicle. If damage is not reported, there is no insurance cover.
Full cover does not cover the following:
parking fees
parking fines / traffic fines
fuel
Damage to tires
Loss or damage car keys
Costs arising from improper use of the in-vehicle equipment (e.g. battery failure if the lights are not switched off etc.)
Please Note: If the return time is exceeded, there is no longer any insurance cover and you are personally liable! In the event of a police stop, driving without insurance can result in very high penalties.
Cancellation:
Cancellation must generally be made by mail or phone; This is possible at any time before the booking date, with the following cancellation fees applying. Please note that cancellations on Sundays and public holidays are only counted as received on the following working day. We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance with a travel insurance company.
– up to 3 days before the start of the rental 15% cancellation fee
– from the 2nd day before the start of the rental 100% cancellation fee

How do we collect your data?
On the one hand, your data is collected when you provide it to us. This could, for example, be data that you enter in a contact form or when making your booking.
